About Ouk Chatrang
Ouk (អុក) or Chatrang (ចត្រង្គ) is a chess variant popular in Cambodia, with roots dating back to the Angkor era. The game shares the same 8×8 board and similar pieces—King (ខុន), Queen (នាង), Bishop (គោល), Knight (សេះ), Rook (ទូក), and Pawn (ត្រី)—with some unique rules that make it distinctly Khmer.
